Personality & Traits

General Overview Jess has a friendly nature and a gentle personality. She befriends others easily and is intensely loyal to those close to her. She has also been described as "fearless", as she has no issue with putting herself in harm's way to save a friend.
Hobbies & Interests Jess very much likes puzzles and games that involve creative thinking. She is also a reader and enjoys holodeck simulations when a holodeck is available. She has also studied a handful of martial arts techniques, though she is by no means an expert.

Personal History Raised on a farm in rural Alaska, Jess learned early on the value of hard work and earning your own success. Though an only child, she was by no means spoiled, unless free access to the outdoors and responsibility for the livestock counted as "spoiled." From the moment she was tall enough to safely lead a horse, Jess worked on the farm just as her parents did.

As she entered her teens, Jess expressed an interest in Starfleet, as many young people did. Her parents neither encouraged nor discouraged this desire, though they did insist that she finish high school before giving it any type of serious thought. So the idea was discussed a few times a year until graduation, upon which Jess went to the nearest Starfleet recruiting office to talk about her options. Though she was aware of the academy and the path to becoming a commissioned officer, her conversation with the recruiters opened her eyes to the enlisted path. Some further discussion revealed the warrant officer program, which piqued her interest. Though she was warned that this could be a difficult path to walk, Jess was determined that this was what she wanted. By the end of the year, she had finished her basic training and gone on to master-at-arms A school at San Antonio.

As she approached the end of her A school training, Jess was offered the chance to receive specialized training. After perusing the options, she chose the specialized role of military investigator, believing it to suit her curious nature.

Even after finishing her training, Jess continued to learn and adopt new techniques and strategies. As she steadily climbed her way through the ranks, she kept her eye on the coveted warrant officer position that she - and many others - sought. From the moment she was allowed to apply for selection, she went for it, ultimately trying three times before being selected.

After finished her warrant officer candidacy program, Jess was assigned to Law Enforcement Team 72, where she still serves.
